11-12 - Rutland, Extreme Country Stampede Tour & Gayle Sheldon Memorial Ride to benefit Gayle Sheldon Memorial Foundation's support of the Foley Cancer Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center.. Gates open at 12 noon with events and concerts throughout the weekend.  Featured artists include:  Rachel Timberlake, Corey Cox and Crossin Dixon.  Other entertainment will include: Towasaurus Wrex Monster Truck Show.  The Gayle Sheldon Memorial Ride will take place the morning of June 11th.  Vermont State Fairgrounds, 175 South Main St., Rutland. 28 - Rutland, The Patriot Flag will be displayed in front of City Hall from 3 - 6 pm in Downtown Rutland. This flag is visiting 50 states in 50 weeks across the US as a memorial in recognition of the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. The flag is 60' high and 30' wide. The public is welcome and encouraged to view the flag which will be raised by two local fire department ladder trucks.

29 - Rutland, Red Knights Motorcycle Club – Vermont Chapter 3 - Patriot Flag Escorted ride from Rutland to Essex Junction, VFW Post 6689, Champlain Valley Exposition, all riders welcome. A police escorted ride from Rutland to the VFW in Essex, VT. Delivering the flag to the VFW & Burlington Fire Dept. ~~ Stage at the Home Depot (near former Panda Pavillion) no later then 12:30pm. The escort will take us on Rt 4 to Rt 100 to 107 onto I-89 with a rest stop at Exit 4 in Randolph then continuing on to Camp Johnson. Arrival time to be approx. 3:00pm.~~ Ceremony at 5:00pm followed by a cookout at the VFW.

10 -  Rutland, Saturday - Red Knights VT IV -  Ray's Ride - escorted 70 Mile (approximately 2 Hour) ride, will be meeting at the Rutland Fire Station.   Registration starts at 9 am at the Rutland Fire Station.  We will be leaving Rutland Fire Station for Vergennes around 10 am.  The cost is $25.00/bike which includes a BBQ at the end of the ride.  If you have any questions please contact Mike Coyle at 373-0273, or George Roy at 578-1650 or Tony Boulanger at 349-8930. Rutland to Pittsford Fire Academy departing from Midway Diner at 9:03 am. Registration from 7:30 - 8:30 am. Special recognition of 9/11 beginning at 8:30 am including National Anthem and Firefighter Ladder Arch displaying the US Flag. Motorcycles fired up at 8:46 am to recognize the time of the first tower was struck. Please join us for this important recognition.
