Fundraising Opportunity For Non Profit Organizations

gazebo1.jpg Rutland City Band presents concerts in Main Street Park every Sunday, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., playing a variety of music including standards, Broadway tunes, Latin dances, Sousa marches, and original pieces by Rutland composers.  Rutland City Band is the oldest continuous municipally supported band in the United States, and is overseen by the Rutland Recreation Department.

The Recreation Department has given permission for the Band to extend the following invitation: Non-profit organizations are invited to use the City Band concerts as a fundraising opportunity. Fundraisers may take the form of ice cream socials, sales of baked goods and beverages, or a better fantastic idea your organization’s members may have.  The fundraisers will be run from one location (a stand or truck) at the Park.  Those running the fundraiser may not circulate through the audience to solicit sales.  During the concert, the fundraiser will be announced over the bandstand’s loudspeaker, and a representative of your organization may speak briefly.  Organizations are encouraged to advertise the fundraisers through their membership.

Organizations that are interested in running a fundraiser on one or more of these dates, please contact: Dan Graves: dan_graves@comcast.net or 802-775-6643
