The Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce is excited to present the RRCC Business Show 2011! The show will be held this year on March 8, 2011 – 4pm-7:30pm at the Holiday Inn and is sponsored by Rutland Regional Medical Center.
This year's show will feature over 85 area businesses representing a diverse group of members exhibiting everything from home services and products, automobiles, health care, restaurants, retailers and much much more. The will be great food, prizes and lots of fun! The event is open to the public. Admission is $3 per person (proceeds benefit RRCC and the food shelves at BROC and Salvation Army. Parking and shuttle service are free. There will also be live remotes by Catamount Radio and 101.5 The Fox.

The next RRCC/REDC Legislative Breakfast will feature a panel discussion on Healthcare Reform. The panel will include: Rep. Peg Andrews; Rep. Jim Eckhardt; Sen. Kevin Mullin; Tom Huebner, President/CEO, RRMC and Jeanne Keller of Keller & Fuller, Inc.
The breakfast will take place on March 14th, 7:30am at Franklin Conference Center. The cost is only $8 per person and includes a full breakfast buffet. The RRCC/REDC Legislative Breakfast Series is sponsored by TD Bank.

Over 40 members of the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce and Rutland Economic Development Corp descended on the State House in Montpelier on February 22nd. The group had the opportunity to be introduced in the Well of the House by Rep. Herb Font Russell and meet with Commissioner of Tourism, Megan Smith, Speaker of the House Shap Smith and Rutland County Delegation. The group enjoyed lunch at Capitol Plaza where they had the opportunity to hear remarks and ask questions of Governor Peter Shumlin and Lt. Governor Phil Scott. Take The GE/Chamber Challenge-We Need You!
GE Rutland and RRCC are teaming up to challenge local businesses and organizations to accept their challenge and organize a team to walk in the March of Dimes Annual Walk for Babies on Saturday morning, April 30th beginning at Mill River Union H.S. in North Clarendon. The new goal of the walk this year is to raise $40,000.
Dan DiBattista, Plant Leader at GE Rutland is Chairing the event for the March of Dimes for the second year. Chamber EVP, Tom Donahue suggested to Dan that the two organizations team up to challenge the businesses and the community to organize a team representing their business or organization and encourage their employees, customers etc. to participate.

A large crowd was on hand for the February Chamber Mixer held at Castleton State College's Spartan Arena in Rutland.
The mixer was held in the mezzanine level which will feature a new fitness center beginning in April.
