Work Space Article: Rutland & RCWWI Featured in National Publication

Rutland along with three other communities in the nation were the focus of a WALKING article in WOMAN'S DAY magazine's November 1st Edition. The release of the article has been a year in the making, thus seeing it finally come together is really exciting for the region. The lead came originally came from Mark Fenton, a famed ~ walking Guru, whom RCWWI brought to the community along with RRCOC , the Community Care Network, and numerous other community partners / regional sponsors in 2001 & 2002.

Per my request, several community members were interviewed by staff writer, Winnie Yu-Scherer for their comments on getting communities walking through a variety of avenues [i.e. neighborhood watch programs, starting worksite walking programs, among others]. The WOMAN'S DAY website highlighted RCWWI's creation of Steps Matter: A Guide Toward Manifesting Successful & Sustainable Worksite Walking Programs, offered on CD @ $12.95, which can be ordered via a downloadable PDF order form off of this website! The CD will be ready by December 31st, 2004, perfect for New Year roll outs in 2005.
